Robert Presnar

As Collection Manager at the Hoyt, Bob oversees the Alexander Crawford Hoyt Period House, creating tours and events that help bring local history to life, whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning for a deeper dive.

Bob has a background in education, with a degree in Secondary Education – Social Studies, and went on to earn his Master’s in History from Slippery Rock University. He’s a passionate researcher and storyteller who has written and published several pieces about the area’s history. Around town, he’s known as a go-to local historian who loves uncovering stories from the past. Before stepping into his current role, he served as the Hoyt’s Education Director since 2008.
