More Ways to Support our Work

There are many ways to make a difference at the Hoyt. Direct your gift to a program or cause that matters to you, honor someone special, or explore other ways to support the arts for generations to come.

Scholarship

By supporting our Scholarship Fund, you help make arts and cultural experiences accessible to everyone in our community. Need-based assistance helps students of all ages take part in art-making classes, summer camps, music lessons and more, regardless of their ability to pay.

Over the past decade, our donors have funded hundreds of educational opportunities, bringing students into the studio to learn, create and build confidence. Your gift helps keep those opportunities within reach.

Art for Adam Fund

Celebrate Adam McNickle's life and legacy by helping others experience the joy of making art. Gifts to the Art for Adam Fund provide free art supplies and classes for individuals struggling with mental health and addiction, creating opportunities for creativity, connection and self-expression in his memory.

Public Art Fund

Help bring art beyond our walls and into the community. Gifts to the Public Art Fund support the development of murals, sculpture and other public art projects that transform shared spaces, celebrate our community and make art part of everyday life throughout Lawrence County.

Make a Gift

Memorial & Tribute Gifts

Celebrate someone special, mark an important occasion or honor the memory of a friend or family member with a gift to the Hoyt. Tribute and memorial gifts can support the Hoyt's work generally or be directed toward a program or area that is meaningful to you or your loved one.

For exceptional gifts, opportunities may also be available to name a gallery, studio, classroom or other space at the Hoyt in honor or memory of an individual, family or organization. Naming opportunities are based on the level and purpose of the gift and are arranged in consultation with the Hoyt.

Permanent Art Collection

Help preserve our region's artistic and cultural history for generations to come. We are continually building our collections of fine art, decorative arts, and antiques that connect today's visitors with the art, industry and everyday life of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

From Period House antiques to our Shenango China collection, every piece contributes another chapter to the story we preserve and share.

More Ways to Make a Gift

Give from Your IRA

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). A QCD can be a tax-smart way to support the Hoyt and may count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), if one applies to you.

Your IRA administrator can help you make a gift directly to Hoyt Arts Center. For information your financial institution may need to complete your gift, contact Kimberly Koller-Jones, Executive Director, at kkollerjones@hoytartscenter.org.

Please consult your financial or tax advisor to determine whether a Qualified Charitable Distribution is appropriate for you.

Give Stock or Securities

A gift of appreciated stock or other securities can provide meaningful support for the Hoyt while potentially offering financial advantages to the donor. Contact Kimberly Koller-Jones, Executive Director, at kkollerjones@hoytartscenter.org for information about making a gift of securities.
