Holiday Gift Shop: Call for Artists
The Hoyt invites artists and makers to apply for our 2026 Holiday Gift Shop, a seasonal showcase of original, handcrafted art and gifts prominently displayed in the glass-enclosed walkway at the museum’s entrance.
The Gift Shop opens November 22 during the Hoyt’s Annual Holiday Open House, welcoming more than 500 visitors in a single day, and continues through January 2 alongside our popular Holiday House Tours.
Whether you’re an established artist looking to reach a new audience, hoping to reduce inventory before year-end, or experimenting with a new product line, the Holiday Gift Shop is a great opportunity to put your work in front of holiday shoppers. And you don’t need a large inventory to participate—we’ll accept as few as 12 pieces from selected artists.
What We’re Looking For
Original, handcrafted work that is ready for sale and well suited for holiday gift giving. All work must be created by the applying artist—items made from commercial kits will not be accepted.
Artwork must arrive ready for display and sale, including appropriate framing, hanging hardware, packaging, or presentation as applicable.
Applications are reviewed by committee, with selections based on quality, marketability, price point, and duplication of similar work within the shop.
The Hoyt retains a 30% commission on all sales.
