Learning Music Through Play: The Cello
Introduce your child to the joy of music in this playful, hands-on class! Through songs, movement, stories, and musical games, young learners will explore the basics of rhythm, melody, and listening while discovering the rich, beautiful sound of the cello. Children will even have the opportunity to try a child-sized cello as they learn simple playing positions and techniques.Over eight weeks, your child will build confidence through music, take home fun songs and activities to enjoy as a family, and discover whether the cello might be the perfect instrument for their next musical adventure.
Capacity: 8 students. Minimum: 2 students. Ages: 3-5.
Beth has taught cello to children for over thirty years at institutes, workshops, and conferences across the country and internationally, and in her private studio. She is a registered Suzuki Association of the Americas teacher trainer of Suzuki pedagogy. Beth also teaches in her private studio at Hope Academy.
